• Candidates who have passed NET/JRF or have secured grants for research such as fellowship/scholarships offered by DBT/ICMR/ICAR/DST/CSSIR/ICHR/ICPR etc. will be exempted from Ph.D. Admission Test.
• Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor who have been appointed on substantive posts in the UGC Pay scale in the teaching Department of the University or Constituent Colleges of this University, who have completed their probation successfully, with an experience of at least two years of uninterrupted service would be exempted from the test. Teachers appointed on Self-Finance Courses and teachers belonging to those colleges running on self-finance basis will not be exempted from the test.
• Non-teaching employees of his university, who have been holding substantive appointments for more than five years and have secured at least 55% marks in Master's Degree in the subject concerned and have published at least two research papers in any reputed referred journals or journals identified by the UGC would also be exempted from the test.

Note:

• Candidates exempted from PAT are also required to apply online with requisite fee.
• Candidates of exempted categories will have to appear directly before the interview board as per schedule, along with the PAT qualified candidates.
